We are a mostly vegetarian, gluten-free family.  My oldest is a pescetarian (she eats fish), and I've been a vegetarian on and off for most of my adult life. We spent about a year on a strict gluten-free vegan diet due to our youngest's allergies.   We still eat a mostly plant-based diet an gluten-free diet, but we've been able to add back in cheese, yogurt, butter, and eggs.

When it comes to baking, I come up with some great stuff on my own, but I rarely ever follow directions.  This makes for some . . . interesting attempts.  Like our homeschooling, my baking involves a whole lot of trial and error.  Because I'm not afraid to try, or fail, I do come up with my own versions of things.

As the site evolves, I hope to have recipes to share with you; however, any food how-to's will be more of a method than a strict recipe.  I'm definitely "a little of this" and "a little of that" kind of girl.  But I make a mean gumbo.
